In this new Blog post, we are going to explore the services offered by Risen to it's clients. Through this post, will be analyzed the development cycle for a part realized via milling; but similar approaches care followed for parts that need to be produced with other technologies, such as plastic deformation, sheet metal cutting, welding etc.

Initial Analysis

Looking at projects with a critical eye and guided by our expertise in the machining process, we can guide our clients toward the best strategy for the realization of the part, emphasizing critical aspects and expensive features. If the client is interested, the process continues with a more in depth analysis.
Product study
After the first analysis of a new product, it's necessary to proceed with the development of both the part and the production process.
Starting from the ideas taken in the preliminary analysis, new solutions to reduce costs and production times are developed.

In order to do that, the starting point is to develop a complete working cycle, to be used as a control group so that the proposed modifications can be quantitatively measured. This also is a good reference for offers made by machining suppliers.
In this phase, concepts for both the fixture and the tooling are developed; without a clear idea on how to fix and machine the part is impossible to determine the machining time.
For these tools are also made estimate for the realization cost, again useful to confront other offers. It's also possible to realize prototypes with additive manufacturing, or true production samples, thanks to our partner companies.
Process development
Going on with the development process, we get closer and closer with the production start.
It's now time to turn into reality the concepts developed in the previous step, both for the fixture and the tooling. Also, if the client needs so, it's time to find the correct machining center to produce the part. This point is crucial, since there is no perfect machine, but there is the perfect machine for a certain job; choosing the wrong one can make useless all the work done to this point.
All these passages are made both

internally and externally, getting help from many suppliers
in our portfolio.
Anyhow, these suppliers are under Risen technical supervision and need approval from both Risen and the final customer.
For those clients that desire to reach this level of quality, it is possible to buy a turnkey service. In this case, everything needed to start production is manufactured for the client, but with technical and quality control granted by Risen
Production start
After producing what is necessary for manufacturing it is time to turn on the machine.
Risen offers a CNC development service using a CAM software, so that even smaller realities that can not invest in such technology can produce complex parts. Besides, this kind of software is useful to optimize existing programs for companies with higher production.
In this package of services is included the preparation of start of production documents, both for the workshop (tool list, set-up sequence, control plan) and for quality insurance (FMEA, PPAP, bubble drawings).

Conclusions
Whit this ample package of solutions, Risen aims to became reference point for the development of new products, following in all phases, from the drawing board to the machining center.
Modularity of our proposals, makes possible to optimize existing processes, and our creative thinking allows us to find new and sometimes strange solutions to problems found during work.
