Antiphon
Antiphon AB stands for decades of experience in acoustics, both in terms of materials and technical solutions. Through the years we have developed and produced a wide range of noise control materials and products, often in close cooperation with our customers. With our long history, we secure the quality through know-how and experience, because the sense of quality in all areas is essential for everyone working in Antiphon AB.
The main products realized by Antiphon are:
- antiphon MPM: composite material for structure-borne sound damping.

MPM: the future of sound damping
The most interesting material is for sure Antiphon MPM: this composite made of sheet metal and polymeric materials, allows realizing complex components which are intrinsically sound damping, without using other pads or panels. This way the weight and volumes are reduced and also in all those situations where a bulky sound proofing cannot be used MPM can achieve noise reduction.
A clear example is the production of air ducts. Making these components traditionally, the only way to achieve a reduction in noise produced by the sheet metal parts grinding one to the other would be to insert rubber insulation at every joint and to cover completely the duct with thick foam panels.
Using Antiphon MPM both these operations wouldn't be needed, achieving an important noise reduction, without using extra space or needing extra steps for the installation.
Antiphon MPM can be produced with any laminable material: steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.
With just a few adjustments, this material can be coated and machined as normal sheet metal; it can be painted, zinc coated, laser cut, welded, folded and any process a normal sheet metal can withstand, as long as the process does not require intense heat.
